Welcome! Do you think we are related? If so, I would love to connect and share access to my (our) family tree! I’ve put a lot of time and love into collecting this data and information and while I have no intention to gatekeep my research, I also want to ensure I protect family privacy. Not sure if we’re related? Start below with the most common names in our family tree. Additionally, the general places where our families may have crossed paths include: Wyoming, Kansas, Maryland, Nebraska, Slovenia.
So, if you think we’re related, fill out the form below and in the notes and comments, explain how you think we might be related.
Once I confirm you’re connected to our family, you can gain access to your ID in my online tree and your login will be linked to your profile in my tree. Please use the form to detail our shared ancestor to more easily connect you! From there, you’ll be able to access information about our SHARED relatives, update your family details and more. It will also allow you to receive semi-regular updates about our tree and/or the website.
Do think you’ve seen my trees on Ancestry, MyHeritage, Geneanet etc and aren’t sure if you want to subscribe? If you’ve borrowed info from me from another paid service or we’ve connected through a DNA match, much of what I have here will be similar. However, this tree is solely managed by me, without any fee to access as long as I can keep my tech skills sharp enough to maintain the site. That said, recent data is restricted to those whom I can verify as relations.
Generally, this will be my 2nd most up to date Family Tree. My update structure is:
- As I work – update information in Family Tree Maker on my desktop which syncs with Ancestry (which I only subscribe to periodically, so reaching out to me there isn’t the best)
- At least Monthly – I update this tree with my Family Tree Maker/Ancestry information
- At least Yearly – I update information at Geneanet, MyHeritage and GEDMatch.
- At least every other year – I try and update/clean up information at FamilySearch and Geni
If you still aren’t sure if we’re related, don’t hesitate to leave me a message with some details and your contact information and let’s start a conversation and figure it out. I’m happy to help where I can and comfortable with uncertainty as we can figure this out together.
